illustrate a book. Each child will write and illustrate their own book.

The assembly format is designed to demonstrate to students how they can make books by creating digital
characters on their computers. In this presentation E. Moore uses a Power Point Slide Show to demonstrate
how characters can be created with simple colors, shapes and lines. E. Moore shares with the children how
determination and diligence can take them anywhere they want to go in life! She explains how overcoming
reading comprehension and hearing loss in one ear forced her to accomplish her dreams of being a writer
because she didn’t give up! To end the presentation, Moore demonstrates a digital creation of “Mya” from
“The Mya Series” books and inspires every listener to soar past their dreams!

The Book Reading & Discussion format is designed for individual classes. Moore reads MYA books
to children while discussing social issues that pertain to each book. Books up for discussion include:
“When I am Sad,” “When My Parents Argue,” “When I Believe,” “It Is Not Polite To Be A Bully,” and “My
Favorite Color Is.” This is an interactive presentation. Moore's goal is to inspire each child as well as offer
conflict/resolution.
